I had my Armada in for its first oil change this morning and the service guy said they are supposed to receive the "definitive" fix for 04 brakes in two weeks. He said it is a whole new system, not just new pads or rotors. They are not taking appointments because they want to wait until they have the product in-hand. This guy said they have too many Armada owners waiting for this fix to start scheduling appointments that might have to be cancelled if the new brakes don't arrive from Nissan as promised. We'll see. By the way, my dealer is in Vancovuer, WA.

I think your dealer may be blowing a little smoke. The new design has new rotors, same diameter and overall thickness. The pads will be changed, the calipers remain the same. Some of the caliper mounting hardware will be changed.

Do dealers do that? :)

I'm sure you're right. This is the same guy who swore that my Armada could not be fitted with fog lights because "there's no wiring in there." He was wrong. I have the fog lights installed now.
