Just had a question about grilles causing the engine to over heat. I think I read that on a post somewhere. I am interested in getting a 4 piece set, was thinking about the Z grille...saw it on EBAY. Anyfeed back on those?
Lonnie, I have heard you talk of the Mcgrille and some problems with that one.

Does anyone think that adding the grilles are too much...too much chrome for the front?

I haven't read or heard much of anyone having trouble with overheating. I haven't had any problems with my Trenz).

As for how much chrome, it's up to you. On my white Armada, the chrome is actually pretty subtle, but with yours being galaxy it's going to stand out more. The only chrome on mine is the aftermarket grill, bumper center and door handles. My wheels are polished aluminum because I wanted the wheels to compliment the ride, not overpower it. But then, that's just me.

Street scene makes some cool looking grills. I think if I had a black mada I'd get some of those killer MB Motoring wheels (in black w/chrome) and the black street scene grill. Blacked out vehicles are purdy..

Thanks for your input. It's funny you mention black rims.....BECAUSE...after I purchased CHROME rims I saw Black rims on a titan and it DID look PURDY. OH WELL. I think the chrome rims will compliment the rest of the chrome on the car.

As for the GRILLES, I go back and forth. Sometime I think it's TOO MUCH (especially for a Mommy) But at the same time it looks HOT. MMMMMM, what to do. Lonnie said that the McGrille whistled. So I was wondering if there is NOT enough space btw the slats then it wouldn't be able to breath......know what I mean?

You should be fine. Those grills are all over the place down here in Florida and I haven't heard/seen any problems. Being that you are in NY, it should be fine.

I guess if there are NO PROBLEMS in FL or Kuwait.....then I am probably safe in NY.

Mishal,
did you say you HAVE a Z GRILLE? Those are the ones I was looking at.....you have any pics of it on your Mada? That grille is the one with the border around it? Is it heavy? Easy to install?

Just put on a billet on my 05 se in GA and noticed no change in the temp. And it looks great too.

Just out of curiosity, where do your temp gauges set? Mine sets just left of vertical (towards the cool side). It seems to get to that operating temperature very quickly, and never waivers after that. I never checked it out before I installed the new grille.

Thanks
Ken
