Driver side mirror vibration

I took the car today to the dealer to replace the driver side mirror b/c of the vibration at any speed , also the upper console ( front) need to be replaced as well b/c two of the four compartments won't open. both parts where on back order.

After a long day waiting for the dealer to call me. when I picked the car, I noticed on the reciept that they replaced the (rear) upper compartment instead of the (front), anyway the service manager came out to appologise
and he will be ordering the front upper console.

my problem is not much the Upper console, its the driver side mirror which they already replaced, and I know for a fact they did replace it b/c there is no more bugs........ on it. Anyway its still vibrating, according to the service manager all Armadas at certain speed has the same exact problem and there is no fix.

does any of you had this problem and corrected it?

I guess if there is no fix, I am gonna live with that, and I still love my Mada

I had the mirrors replaced on the Titan because they would shake so bad, everything in them were blurs. The replacement mirrors did well for a couple of days, and they to then, started vibrating. The vibration on the replacements weren't as severe as the original, but still bad where visibility was impacted.

Now that I have the Pathfinder, I get absolutely no vibration in either side mirror. It's great since I rarely use the rear view mirror, I can now actually see things without it being a complete blur. When I was driving International dump trucks and other construction rigs, I used only the side mirrors and have become quite use to that, rarely using the rear view mirrors in my vehicles. Side mirrors are so much better as you get more visibility from them.

Good luck in getting your mirror vibration taken care of, but unfortunately, I think you'll have to live with them vibrating until you get another model vehicle.

Have a good one.

It doesn't vibrate any more than any mirror I've had on any other car. The Mada is my 14th personal car. ;)
No mirror shake here either, more dealer bullsh*t maybe.
My driver side mirror shakes. The dealer replaced it and it still shakes, although much less.

I read somewhere here that a dealer corrected the problem by tightening the door hinge. When I get a chance, I'm going to try and do that to see if it helps.
I noticed that one of the compartments in the upper forward console always stuck when opening or closing.
Last week I took a closer look, and the mounting screw inside the sunglass (forward) compartment had actually cracked the plastics at the point of attachment. Don't know if its defective plastic, or too much torque on the screw.
This is the third time I've found screws either overtightened or just plain missing. Not impressed with initial quality.
Damn dash squeaks are also driving me batty.
I did notice the side mirror vibration on freeway speed but it was not as bad that causes the image to get blurry.
Easy fix:

A few days ago I had a tire repair. The mechanic evidently filled the tires to 42 psi.

I lowered the tire pressure to 35 psi as recommended, and the mirror vibration was less noticeable. (although, it was still there).
OEM bugshield...as I just added one and now have mirror shake.

That's interesting.....we had this issue on our 06, and the dealer replaced the mirror, but it still shakes a little bit. I can't remember if the mirror started shaking after we added the OEM deflector. Definitely worth a quick experiment.

You just installed one on 3/17/08 per your post here:

So not 4 years sorry. 2.5 years to be exact, not 11 months. I am actually glad I didn't get it from you as you seem to have fishy stories.
I have posted the following video proving that Mirror do NOT vibrate on Armada as claim by dealer ship

you can use this video to prove it to them

hmm i have never seen the mirrors on the 08 i drive shake.. i didnt know dealers were stating this was common!
