I'm looking for an easy DIY 2" lift.

I could be wrong, but it looks like these will lift the front 2"....

Is there a simple DIY way to lift the rear 2"?

The truck has no ride issues, just want to raise it a little. 2005 LE with tow package.

Install Bilstein 5100 shocks on the front, at the highest setting and adjust the height sensor at the rear.

The sensor for the rear height is located on the driver side, behind the rear axle. Look at the attached drawing. To raise the rear loosen the two mounting screws on the sensor and rotate it CCW to raise the rear, or adjust the ling to make it longer. You will need to have the engine running for the system to adjust. There is a delay, so you will need to have the engine running a few minutes after adjustment for the change to take place. You will hear the compressor run.

Wow, thanks for the tip. Got a 2" rear lift in 30 seconds.

Are you sure you reinstalled the bar properly? The links at the ends of the bar must be vertical, going down from the bar. When the bar is removed the ends can rotate down out of place. Also there are flanges on the bar to keep it in the proper side to side location.

The position of the adjustment rod is incorrect. Its supposed to be lined up vertically, not horizontal/parallel to the coil bucket.

Disconnect the bracket from the coil bucket and correct the position of the adjustment rod along with the pivot arm that connects it to the solenoid.

Primo nailed the problem. Link should be vertical as marked in red on drawing.

Making the adjustment to the ride height sensor, will it effect the ride or with towing? Can/Should you add 2" spacers to the rear? I have done a lot of reading on the different ways people are doing lifts but very few have switched the auto level out and from the little I have read it will cost a ton of money. I just want a 2-3" lift(front and back). I understand I can do the front easily but would like to figure out the rear with out changing out everything and dumping a months worth of pay just into that.

I did 2" in the front with Bilstien 5100s on the highest lift setting. They lifted the front to 38" at mid fender. They ride very hard, significantly worse than stock in my opinion.

I adjusted the ride hieght sensor to even out the back fenders to 38". Within two weeks the rears went flat and the compressor would run every engine start. If i drove more than 30 minutes to an hour at night, the healights would point way up in the air as the rear deflated and the compressor would stop running for whatever reason. On/off would pump the rear back up, make the headlights dangerously hard to adjust, especially with HIDs which are very aim sensitive.

I don't recommend doing the Bilstein 5100 quick lift for both of the above reasons: the 5100s ride way too hard all the way out, and the air suspension is leaky if the truck is 5-7 years old. I'm going to lower the 5100s to normal height and replace the rear o-rings, plus add 2" spacers all around. If I have to, I'll put 5100s in the rear.
