As if I didnt have enough problems with my Mada ....now my rear hatch will not open its self or close by itself. Anyone else have problems with this?

You are the first.
I had someone open and close it manually. You need to close it manually before it will start functioning again. If you open manually it will cut off.

Check to be sure the hatch glass is completely closed and latched.. It will disable the auto open/close. Don't just look, check it, it's tricky.

This has happend to me also. Doesn't look open, but it is.

No, my hatch "thinks" its in a bind

No, I dont have the window open. It will make the dinging sound but will not open or close on its own. It thinks its hung or its hitting something. Im sure I will get years of enjoyment out of this little "cool" feature.

As if I didnt have enough problems with my Mada ....now my rear hatch will not open its self or close by itself. Anyone else have problems with this?

I had that problem about 5 months ago with my 04 which I got in October of 04 and I shut the door with great force manually and have not had that problem since. I think something wasn't touching a sensor or something, but it worked.
