Anyone I need help!!! I have a 2004 armada with out the dvd system. I just bouhgt a factory monitor and i want to hook it up to an after market dvd player.I have no idea how to find out the color code wire and what they stand for, coming from the monitor. This is a 12 pin harness and these are the wires color PINK LT/GREEN GRAY WHITE LIT/BLUE PURPLE BLACK BLUE ORANGE GREEN BLACK YELLOW

Good luck with this. No one that I'm aware of has been able to do this yet. Your probably going to need the factory dvd player too. Look at the how to thread in my signature and in post#4 I have the video wiring diagram.

The last guy that tried it here, ended up blowing up the monitor (shorted it out) I'd stick that back on ebay for the next sucka! Get yourself a nice Myron & Davis or Blaupunkt

Agreed, unless you find a cheap factory DVD to hook it to. The factory monitor is really pretty good but it is only designed to work with the factory DVD. Try posting on the12volt.com someone over there may be able to tell you what you need to get it to work with aftermarket DVD's. If you figure it out post back.

Thanks guys.I called my dealer and they said that the only way that will work if i have the factory dvd. also i would have to purchase 2 harneeses from nissan in order to work. oh yah, $210.00 later for those 2 harnesses. oh well we all make mistake.

You don't necessarily need the harnesses if you are good with a soldering iron...but I think the factory DVD player is the only way to get it to work. Do post over on the12volt.com though to see if anyone can help. Post the link to the video wiring diagram for them to reference.
