Do any of you know the implications of performance modifications on our factory warranties? Is anything voided by adding a CAI or new exhaust system? I have some buddies that insist any change will void our warranty while another believes there is a law that prevents this type of voiding. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

They did pass a law that states they must honor the warranty unless they can PROVE the problem is a DIRECT result of the aftermarket modification. Air filters/intakes and exhausts are perfectly fine and will void nothing. ;)

There's the law, the logical answer, and then there's Nissan Service.
All I can say is be prepared to un-mod your mada before you bring it in.

still we should be very careful with mods. like for example you installed CIA and you hydrolock they will void you warranty for sure. but lets say you got CIA and EXHAUST they can't void your tranny or brakes but still they may say that because of your mods you increase your horse power and then that leads you brakes and tranny to give in and that's bull****.

It is called The Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. Check out the link for more info.
