I just purchased a used 04 mada with 24k on it, the other day i rolled the front drivers window. when i went to roll it back up it started just slightly and then went back down, it moved no more than an inch up. i clicked the button again and it went up. it has done this about 5 times now. the front windows have been tinted and now on that window i have marks on the tint. if i take it to the dealer i am guessing they will just say its b/c of the tint b/c they would have to fix it plus retint the window. but since it was tinted before i bought it and it had no marks i have to imagine that this issue just started. any suggestions?

My front tinted windows also got badly scratched and I had to get the tint replaced. I have found that by not lowering the front windows all the way (leave around 1/2" or 1" showing) I have had no more problems.

Apart from the weather seal and the inside seal there seems to be another seal about an inch below the door top, this seems to catch on the window and scratch the tint if you lower the window past it.
