I had trouble too

There is something wrong with Nissan's instructions. Go to homelink.com and download their's. Mine programmed first try with them. Never went back to check the difference but I figure if Homelink built it they must know how to program it.

Rolling Codes or Fixed Codes?

Ms. Cruz
Be aware there are two types of openers. Fixed codes and rolling codes (more secure). The rolling codes openers are a little more involved to program. You have to push a button on the mounted garage unit to program your Homelink. Make sure you are using the right instructions for your type of unit.

I set mine in about 5 min. I was giving two set of instructions for the Armada. One was for the set and one was for the rolling codes (just as FL_Crushin mentioned). It was easy but required me to open the cover on the garage door opener.

well although you all seem to have had no problem my armada garage opener is still acting up, i went to the dealer and they said it was programed but by the time i got to the crib it didn't work, point is they told me to hold either the the two top keys or the two bottom keys wich include the one with the little picture of a house and press my garage opener and wait until they stop blinking and that should do it but it still does not work somebody help me

Homelink Problem

....and sometimes it's as simple as not holding your opener close enough to the Homelink unit when programming, or needing a fresher battery in your gd opener. I have to admit to being confused by the advice of your dealer about "top two" or "bottom two" buttons because i have three horizontal buttons on my mirror (04 LE 4x4 w/tech pkg).

Good luck!

Program Garage Door opener

On the card that came with my 04 LE it says that if your opener is mfg since 1996 you have to get up on ladder and press program mode. and then it will accept the program from your Armada. Mine programed without a hitch.

opener

My 06 manual explaines how to program with the rolling signal. I had problems just pressing the two buttons and my opener. it did not work. Once I did the rolling signal program(where you have to push the button on the overhead unit for the garage door it woorked fine. You have to make sure you push the correct buttons in the Armada within 30 seconds of pushing the one on the overhead unit. This should be in your manual.

That is exactly true. You have to set it first inside the vehicle according to manual instructions. Then push the button on your garage door opener(overhead) and go back inside vehicle and push your programmed button 3 or 4 times to set the program. Once I found the second set of instructions in my manual it took me 2 minutes to get it. Love the feature, I have my garage door opener inside the house now so I can open the door without going into the garage to do it. Hope this helps.
