I know i saw a thread about making your GPS able to play DVD's. Does anyone know what the website is to do that?

You can use your navigation screen as a monitor with something like the www.avelectronic.com video switcher box. I have this and have had no problems with it. There are others too, navtv2go I think is one.

www.tvandnav2go.com has a plug and play unit for about $250. No need to spilce wires.
