Help me Make the Correct Decision!

I am looking for an Armada, either new or used, '04 - '06, but I am having trouble deciding which one fits my needs best.

Interior, needs to be DARK leather. I know this limits some exterior choices, and Im ok with that. Been there done that with the last Nissan ('04 Murano).

Needs to have Navigation, but I am leaving this one open, as I could always add a double din navi headunit, and be ahead of the game.

Needs to have four wheel drive. Our 1yr old loves the beach, and where we go, only 4x4's are allowed on the beach.

Needs to have tow package. Or as long as it can tow our Harley show truck and trailer, and the occasional 40' camper trailer.

Looks like an LE would be the best choice, but are their other's such as getting an Off Road with tow pack, and leather better??

Needless to say we are a little confused, and would like to make the best choice possiable. :)

TIA!

I'd recommend if you find an 04 be sure to drive it on a long test drive. Almost all of my issues have been irritating rattles. The major issues that are common have been fixed with TSB (brakes were the biggest issue). You also want the graphite interior as its the darkest they have. Sounds like you know what you must have and what you want. If I were in the market I'd stay away from the 04 just because of the first year issues...I'll never buy a first year again, but after the initial irritations and finally getting things the way I thought they should of been from the start I love my Armada. The major issue I have is that the 04/05's don't have split 3rd row. Sounds like you travel a lot so I'd recommend going for the 06 only because you have more hauling options/passenger configuration. Good luck, no matter what you get you'll love driving it.

If you are looking for stock Navi, then LE model is the only way to go. Plus the tech package which comes with the Navi also has backup camera for MADA 05 and later. It is really useful for towing when you are trying to line up the truck.

Hope this helps.

Off road comes with Tow and leather abnd 4x4.
LE is the only way to get NAV and DVD stock. DVD will be key with a kid shortly.
I love the LE. It has many additional features that you don't get on the SE OR but they aren't necessary. Power liftgate, power folding mirrors('06 only), Power rear side windows, Backup camera (with NAV on -05+), heated seats, memory seats, etc., but the OR has most of the other good stuff. Up to you. I love my LE but OR is a good choice also. I'd go with the best deal.

Uhh...I don't think you will be pulling a 40' trailer with an Armada, you are in 3/4 ton-or-better territory there.
Even a 1/2 ton Suburban would be over-matched with that kind of load. A 30' lite is about as far as you safely are going to go, and even then there is a lot of sail area for the Armada's wheelbase to deal with. Tongue weight is the biggest limiting factor with this truck.

Missed the camper. Might want to see if a diesel Excursion would work, otherwise, go F350. The 350 you can hit 15,000 towing. The Excursion is 11,000. The armada can only safely go up to 9000 and change. ;)
Forget the trailer then.. looks like we just wont be borrowing it for trips then.

Im now leaning on a 2006 only.

I dont need the tiny lcd/dvd, as all our show vechicals are all completely done up in the audio/video department. We have bigger plans then what Nissan has to offer with their package.

With that said, im thinking i will be better off with an aftermarket Navi unit to replace the factory indash setup, and add on a backup camera. Looking at what Nissan wants for their setup ($3500!), I can do navi and then some for that price.

So i guess it all comes down to Off Road or LE. Prices between the two were only a few thousand, so im guessing thats because of the little extra's "92TripleBlack" mentioned above.

Thanks for all the useful help guys, hope to be joining the Armada ranks very soon!! :urock:

OK, now im really going nuts here.. Comparing the LE .vs. Off Road on carsdirect.com site, and I cant find all these big differences between the two.

Difference in wheel size, yes.
Back seat captian chairs, yes but i really rather bench!

What the heck else?

TIA!

Check here. You'll see all the options. The LE is really better if you want the stock NAV and DVD. Other than that, they are pretty close, but also pretty close in price. I also personally love the power liftgate, the auto seat/mirror position resets (I'm 6'1" and she's 5'3") and the power rear windows. Click on display all and scroll down. ;)

'06 LE it is! :)

Go tomorrow to see about my trade in, an 04 Murano. :)
You're gonna love it!!!!
Guys, is there a way to get an LE with a rear bench seat, and NOT 2 captian chairs and center console??

Also, why does our Murano come with HID's from the factory, and not even the higher priced LE have it as an "option?"

Last rant :p , why wouldnt Nissan make all the non-factory Navi Armada's, have a headsup display like in all the Murano's? Just to control the radio, cd, hvac, and message center...

Just a few things that seemed a bit strange to me.

:)
Yes you can get second row bench. I had to order mine though as there weren't any dealers with LE's within 600 miles of here that had a bench with the options I wanted. I think the bench turned out to be more popular than Nissan thought it would be.
Was that a cost option to change, or just a replacement? Mines being ordered, so i have no worries. :)

I actually asked for captains but there weren't any in the area, just bench. I got the bench and I'm glad I did. HIDs can be put in for $255. I got my HID kit from Ebay and love it. This is one of the few reasons to pay the extra $9K for the QX. As for the heads up, I don't know. Maybe they didn't want to drive up the price on the Titan, which shares our dash, so they could compete with domestic trucks.
