Just my windows blacked out and when I re-set the seals (after the guy had pushed them down to tint the window) upon my first roll up...it scratched the crap out of the tint. Seems as though there is mention that you can replace the seals with FELT? I have seen the "tint-guy" site mentioning it, but it is quite vague, IMHO. So are people just removing the current seals and leaving it at that? Seems as though the outer seal (there are two on the interior side of the windows) is quite resistent to returning to its previous shape, and frankly looks horrible. ARRRGGHH! So before I make my tint guy re-tint both front windows, is there a 100% cure for this problem?

Thanks so much...and feel free to drop a private line to me at [email protected]

Thanks again,

Scott

Same answer as other post.
1. Doesn't sound like a good tint guy.
2. Did you wait the couple days before opening.
3. You can replace the rubber with a brush style trim, but it shouldn't be necessary. They don't make this from Nissan, you'd have to get it custom.

Thanks! Just talked to the guy that tinted it and he had never heard of that wedge technique. I wouldn't say he doesn't KNOW what he is doing, in his defense...and also a friend of mine. Just does tinting and detailing on the side and has never had an issue before. This is the 4th ride he has done for me...3 without issue. ;-) Anyway...found a Nissan Parts dude on this site and have asked about the cost of replacing them. Not sure all 4 will need it but the front 2 definately do.

Thanks!
