can any one help? i have xterra and i am trying to hook up the towing hitch and electric wire. i got the hitch part ok but cant figure out the electric wire. i am a girl so please be specific thanks

I just installed my tow hitch and the wiring, I will try to be as specific as I can.

these instruction only if you have the OEM hitch,( Nissan Hitch )

1st you need to reach for the tow wire harness behind the rear bumper, it is attached with a clip to the pumper, just pull it out.

2nd, at the end of the tow harness wire is the plug, and it has a black cover, pull the black cover out, now yo have the plug exposed, just plug it into the female plug part attached to the Hitch.

3rd, the hitch comes with two relays, these relays need to be installed in a relay box behaind the battery under the hood. each has its own place and you can not go wrong because they are two different sizes relays.
