Pluged my ipod into the audio inputs on the oem DVD player, and hit the AUX button on the dash.. nothing worked. (yes i hit power on the DVD player first)

What am I missing here?

TIA!

I don't have the factory but I believe you need to hold the rear A/V button on the dash down for 1.5 seconds to activate the dvd over the cabin speakers. Then activate AUX on the DVD, not the dash but on the DVD player. I suspect there is a button for AUX on the dvd remote...perhaps on the player itself. The AUX button on the dash is not connected to the dvd it is only for the dash aux jack.

All you need to do is make sure there is no DVD in the player and connect the (RCA left right cables I assume) iPod and then hold the A/V button on the headunit till the nav screen/display says DVD and then you should be good. Turn on your iPod and your done.

Or you can get a AUX cable at a Radio Shack or any electronic store and just connect that to AUX input and push AUX.

Out of the two methods the DVD method sounds better....
