It's a Gold LE with:

Technology Package (Nav)
DVD entertainment Package
XM Radio
Leather Package
Sunroof

Price $38,900.00 (includes current $2,000.00 rebate)

What do you think? Is this a good price?

i am assuming it's '04? I think this is pretty much thr current going price for '04s. I dont think it will get any better than that.

Yes - that is a good deal. I show invoice+shipping (per Edmunds) at just a tick over $41,000. Which means you're getting the vehicle for just under invoice minus the rebates.

Good luck with it. And, check back in to let us know if you got it.

Yup -- not bad at all -- about a grand better than I did.... I'm assuming you're talking about an '04 and a 4x4 (why people would want 2WD is beyond me, but some do) - also assuming you're getting the tow package. I think most LE's have that, not certain.

Thanks again for all the comments. My wife and I went to Younker Nissan (checkbook in hand) today. The gold Armada was absolutely beautiful. However, we emptied out the items we routinely carry out of the Odyssey and the trunk area is just too small. :(

Get this - We've decided on a Denali XL with quad seats (seats seven total for now). However, I will order a custom 4th row bench that faces backwards to make room for three more! I added a 3rd row bench from www.jatdesign.com for the Hummer and now the H2 seats 8.

Pretty soon we'll need a yellow school bus. Oh well, I would have liked to share Armada stories with all of you... You guys have a fantastic vehicle.

4x4 or 4x2

I guess having a 4x4 or a 4x2 can really depend on where you live. In south Texas, unless you go off-roading, there is no reason to have a 4x4. More money for something not needed. However, if I lived up north, then I would definitely get a 4x4.

That is my mentality when i got my FX35 RWD. That was changed when i took the FX to North Padred, National seashore, and ran into a sign that says, "do not proceed further unless you got a 4X4 vehicle." I am now looking for a bigger SUV, 4x4 capable. This is a peace of mind to have when i go on trips. It is to assure me that i am prepared for any situation that i may encounter.

btw, 2005 LE 4x4, 4x4 mode knob no longer has the auto option. It only has 2wd(default to auto), 4hi, 4low options. This is different than 2005 SE 4x4 which also have the "auto" option(2wd, auto, 4hi, 4low), which is like weird.

As you can see, i am shopping hard for the mada. The best i got is $500 over invoice for a fully loaded 2005 LE 4x4

Understandable. I was looking at the Denali as well before I got the Armada. They're really offering great deals on the Denali and it's a very plush vehicle (a far better deal than the Caddy version).

If the Auto 4x4 works the same on the LE as the SE, wouldn't it make more sense to have both configured the same? Besides, what if you are a control freak (me!) and like to tell your vehicle what to do and not do? Sorry, kinda off topic... anyway, between an Armada and Denali, that's a hard choice, unless you want speed/ground clearance (Armada). My uncle's Denali has a really cushy ride, and it's a great people-hauler and boat tower. So far reliable, but had trouble with his previous Denali's 4x4 (needed to activate it once, and it decided to crap out on him - got pulled out by a Ford :-/ ).
