Doing a transmission oil change sunday . I installed a magnetic oil drain plug for the engine oil drain that i got on ebay for 6.77. It's the same thread pitch m12x1.25 it comes with a washer , but I reused the copper washer on the oem bolt ,I just pried it off with a knife. Thanks i thought of that , but since there is already a magnet on the drain pan meant to collect metallic particles floating around the oil I figured it wouldn't hurt anything .this way I don't have to remove the pan to clean the magnet out.
