JBA hookup!

In my search for speed, I noticed that the only headers available for the Armada were the JBA's, they also have an exhaust system for the titan, but nothing listed for the Armada. Thats when it hit me that JBA is located close to where I live. So I called and spoke to one of their managers about test fitting an exhaust system for the Armada on my car. He seemed very optomistic about producing a system for our vehicle. He said that in a few weeks when their R&D got caught up he would set me up with an appointment to get fitted. Of course for being the donor vehicle, I will get a free exhaust system, plus he said he would give me a good deal on the headers, and install for them :D. Note: to install the JBA headers you must weld on to the existing exhaust.

I don't want to be to optomistic, but hopefully they will follow through. This also gives us a great chance to give them feedback on what is most important to us in an exhaust system. The manager was wondering if I though Armada owners would perfer a stainless system, or an aluminized. I thought that I would pass along any prefrences to him. It seems like to most people the cabin drone is one of the biggest factors in their exhaust purchase.

I will post back when I get an appointment set up for the fittment.

Do a dino test before and after. ;)

If they give you push back, then sell it to them. Tell the, they won't get the sales they want if they don't have the data to back it up. You can go to the corner muffler shop and get a customized exhaust.
If they have a dyno, which I bet they do, it would only cost time and a little electricity. They should include it. If they don't have one, I'm sure they have a deal with someone to use one. Again, get them to foot the bill. ;)

I don't want to discourage you but the cast stainless steel exhaust manifolds are really pretty good pieces for OEM. I would guess you might see slight gains, but not like the numbers you see replacing other manufacturers restrictive cast iron manifolds. The stock Nissan 5.6 does not make all that Hemi killing power using restrictive manifolds. And they don't leak like most headers do within 50k miles.
I agree. I don't think their headers will do anything. Most people with them say they do nothing. But hey, they can't hurt, and they are free. Just make sure you get ceramic coated so they stay nice and shiny, don't leach heat, and last longer. If they say they won't pay for the coating, pay for it yourself. Well worth it. ;)
See if you can get them to make it dual, and I'd like to see the tips pointing outwards to the sides. Better for towing, etc. As for headers, Stillen just came out with long tubes. Those will make power. ;)

No duals from JBA, it will be a single side swept exhaust coming out in the stock location. Gibson I believe has a dual system though.
So does Borla. I just would like more options. ;)
