Lifted on 34s finally

6023 Views 44 Replies 10 Participants Last post by  larumple
Hey guys, after months of planning and picking out parts, my 2010 armada is finally lifted with new shoes! If anyone wants me to list the parts I used for the lift or anything else, let me know and I will reply asap. Its exactly a 3.25" lift in the front and 2" in the rear. Tires are toyo open country A/T III, 305/65 r18 on black rhino rapids (18x9.5). Here are some pictures, let me know what you guys think! Also any suggestions for what I should do next?

Can you explain reason for a 3.25" lift in front but only 2" in the back? If your on the middle setting on shock(believe it's 1"), what else did you do for the extra 2.25"?
Absolutely, at first before I had installed everything, I thought id get 1-1.5'' lift, so I was shocked when It measured 3.25''. But it all comes from the springs that I put on, they are much stiffer than the stock springs with a higher load capacity; so thats where the 2.25'' comes from. For the rear, I put 2" simply due to the lack of lifts available on the market and price. I could get the 2" lift for $150 or I could get the 5" lift for $1000.
My original plan was to have the front and rear both at 2" of lift because I hate a squat, but didn't end up happening that way. looking at it though, you cant really tell the rear is over an inch lower unless you look really hard.

Did you have to replace the rear shocks, and also did you look into the upper control arm for lifted Armadas/Titans?

So I still have the oem rear shocks installed, just added a spaced under the rear springs. As for the UCA, I did look at them, but they are not worth the price, I also dont have any coil bucket contact, so I dont really need them honestly

Ok, yeah I ordered the titan rear shock because it was a bit longer theu said. Hopefully I'll he lifting it this weekend and see how bad my alignment is. Thanks for the reply

no problem, my rear cam bolts were seized so they still aren't in alignment since I lifted it, just need to get around to replacing them.
Oh wow that will look great, those tires will probably fit with that lift as long as the wheel offset isnt crazy
Done this week. The 35X12.50 was not even close to being an option. Here's a pic and the specs from Custom Offsets (what a great resource for space-planning):

275/65 yep - that was the widest I could go because of the backspacing 😡 if I would’ve known then what I know now! If I had 8” wide wheels, 35x12.50 would fit but I’m not backtracking now, I’m too far in 🤣 air intake and exhaust, maybe black carbon fiber over the woodgrain interior, done…maybe.

lol, itll be fine, it looks good anyways. Definitely a CAI is cool, ive got the volant one with the extra intake pipe. And exhaust is coming for me as well, but im going to wait until I replace the headers.

thanks man! Yeah 5100s on middle setting with 81198 springs, and you'll need the hardware in this diagram to complete the strut assembly. You also need the PRG extended sway bar end links. All of that completes the front, for the rear all you need is the PRG 2 inch spacers that go under the coil springs.

Here is a link that helped me assemble these, he has good pictures of all the small parts being assembled - 5100's Install and Tips

Feel free to ask me any more questions about this, and dont forget to post pictures when everything is installed! :)

Awesome, thanks for the heads up! And i will definitely use that as reference.
how does she ride being on the middle setting ?
For the rears i found a steal on 4600s, so i planned to use those but im still a little lost on if i could use the 2” spacers with those.
I definitely want my rear lifted some.

I think it rides great on the middle setting, ive heard that the tallest perch is a pretty rough ride. the springs are stiffer than oem, but honestly its hard to tell a difference on the road.

As for the rear, i think you would need longer springs, but dont quote me on that.

Are you guys (@larumple & @RG23) deleting the air ride suspension in the rear?

I plan on doing it eventually after I get headers installed. I'm going to get the CJD Racing rear lift shocks; really nice unit with external reservoirs that can be adjusted.

Nice - be aware, I had some shipment accuracy, major delays, and terrible fitment issues with the rear lift blocks I got from CJD. I finally made them work, after alittle fab work and the good old fashion working man's dollar. But it was a pain in the backside. Probably would not use them again - hate saying that but, it is what it is. If there is another option for you, I'd definitely be in favor of it.

Thanks for the heads up, and ive heard the rear lift blocks have problems. Once I get some time, ill be manufacturing made to order rear lifts that will be tested on my personal truck first to guarantee fitment, and ill be charging a heck of a lot less than CJD does, they seem right proud of those lift blocks.
^^ too proud.

Nice, thats good to hear. Im all go for that setting ! And on the springs part . I have been talking to someone who has ran that exact set up before . And he said he didnt have any problems. the main thing i was worried is i read on the description of the 4600s it said for stock height vehicles. So that through me off a little
