Hi guys,
I am looking into purchasing a armada. I will be moving to Utah so I would like a suv that is able to be safe in the snow. I will be working on minor construction and have to haul family around when they visit. I also love to go fishing, boating, paintballing and snowboarding so it would come in handy. What models would you prefere? I am considering it but have read bad reviews about the breaks and computer function. Since you guys are all owners would you be able to tell me some good points and bad? I would also like to lift the suv and was wondering if it would be wise to get through dealership or do it myself. Dealership quoted about 9 gs more. Also have th e 06 models improved significantly. Thanks for all ur guys help...... Ryan

I had an 04, which had quite a few problems, primarily with the brakes. I now have an 06. The difference is night and day. 7500 miles, no problems. The Armada is an awesome vehicle, in my mind, the best full-size sport utility out there.

Problems have been worked out for the most part. Do not have the dealer do any lifts. Find a good 4x4 specialty shop and have them do it. Seems like a lift should be 2-3k to have someone else do it, but haven't really checked into it. Search this forum for lift kits or try some of the site sponsors for brands of lift kits. Club Titan also probably has alot about lift kit manufacturers and many probably make lifts for the Armada (ind. rear susp vs. Titan solid axle). Good luck. PS if you lift it, you have to get rid of the crappy stock tires!
