Have 19k on Armada. Brake light came on and stayed on. Noticed fluid at low level. Along with the brake light, the VSC (OFF) and SLIP lights came on. I was ready to trade. Added fluid and all lights went away! Already had headliner screw problem fixed and transmission coolant line leak fixed. Brakes are making noise. Tell me this is first model year bugs!

You should have the brake pads checked. As they wear the caliper pistons move farther out, which caused the low brake fluid. You want to be sure the pads aren't worn out and the steel backing plates aren't contacting the rotors.

After all of the other front brake difficulties (warped rotors et. al., I was ready to drive into a wall when the ABS, VSC and SLIP lights lit, too.
Turned out, the brake fluid was a little low.
Why can't such a smart vehicle just give a simple 'one light' warning like a '74 Tempest?

I'd wager a bet that the slip and VSC lights all are tied into sensors in the brakes. If the lights were supressed when brake fluid was low, it might keep you from finding other problems.

Not sure which I'd prefer - idiot lights that have some sort of logic that might mask a bigger problem, or idiot lights that might have some false triggers.
