Would'nt ya know it. I finally invest in this fantastic beast so I can pull a TT and enjoy the weekends and the cost of Gas is outta sight. What has any one done to increase fuel efficiency, if anything? Am I the only one thinking about possibly trading in my 04' Smoke 4x4? I cringe at the thought....Lucky for me I have a company truck to drive every day, and the wife shleps to work in the ole 95' Jeep, so the Mada stays put in the drive way all week. I'm running her in 2wd as opposed to the awd position do ya think that will help? Any pointers will be appreciated, & see ya at the pump.

Try driving in reverse?

On my 300C forum a technique was discussed, and experimented with to increase fuel efficiency, and all those that tried this method claimed their mileage shot from 20-22mpg to upwards of 30mpg. I did not try this myself, but here is a link:

I was sceptical, but those who dared to pour acetone in the tank unanimously said the results were profound. I personally have a hard time opening paint thinner anywhere near my car, much less pouring it inside it.

You could try one of those tornado fuel savers I here those work! ;) .
Sorry, I had to.
The local news station here in Sacramento did a two weeks test on the Tornado thing. They had it in an escalade. Results came back with thier truck losing MPG than gaining. The guy sd the product states cause of the circular motion helps gas but he stated air is air. Like when you breathe. Moving your head in a circular motion , up and down, doesnt allow you to breathe better. It comes in the same way. I'm glad they did the test cause it sure seemed like it made sense.

Yeah Mike, I feel the same way about buying a gas guzzler. But I need something that can tow. A V-6 would've done it but you're only talking a couple miles per gallon difference. I also think that towing is what did in my last V-6 truck. I vowed a V-8, something with enough guts (and the awesome sound) - the Armada is perfect. And when I really think about it, what does my boat get? Maybe 2 mpg?

Pay to Play

If you want to tow you have to pay the freight.
