hey guys! first and foremost, glad to see a Armada dedicated site! great job M4ck!

i got my Armada last friday and i've been busy all wk thinking of ways of getting a clean, "mean" look! thus far, i've installed a C&J billet grills and just yesterday i got my wheels! after looking through thousands of wheels, i finally picked 24' Concept Neeper - Vandal's! it looks awesome, i will post pics as soon as i can! stay tuned!

anyways, i had a question about removing the badges on the rear. specifically, the "pathfinder", "armada" and "SE" badges. i'd like a clean look all around. are they stuck on like my BMW or are they clipped on?

thanks in advance and hope to see plenty of tricked out Armada's!!!

Can't wait to see those pics. I haven't gone out to look, but believe the Armada decals are stuck on, not clipped.

The badges are stick-ons. I have taken the Pathfinder badge off, would like to take the Armada and LE badges off too, but the wife isn't sure.

I also belong to a Maxima forum, there were hundreds of posts on doing this.

The approach I used was to use a hair dryer to heat up the area. Be careful not to get it too hot, warm is enough. Then, using dental floss or fishing line, carefully work it between the emblem and the glue (NOT the glue and the body!), and work it back and forth. As you do this, you will soon be able to pull the emblem away from the body with your fingers. Once you can get a good grip, then carefully pull it away from the body. Then, using a glue remover (I used Goo-Gone), carefully remove the glue from the body. Then, wax the surface, and you're done. Just go slow and careful, don't try to rush it, don't use any tools that can scratch your paint. Mine took about 5 minutes total, including waxing the area. By the way, don't do this on an older car, the exposed paint will have faded, and the paint behind will still be new. Also, dirt will have caked around the emblem, and you probably won't be able to get rid of it all. However, on a relatively new car, you won't see where the emblem used to be.

Good luck!

Keith
