Need your help deciding?? (Trading in Armada??)

Well it looks like I'm pretty close to trading in my 04 Armada LE....but I wanted to see what others thought about my choices. Also can QX56 owners tell me how they like their SUV's so far? Thanks!

My favorite options in order....right now are as follows:

1. Used 2004-2005 QX56
2. New 2005-2006 Armada
3. New / Used 05 Infinity M35 (M45)
4. Somthing completely different, some kind of luxury sedan?

Please let me know what you think, as of right now I am scheduled to go look at a few low mileage 04 QX56's and one 05. Although I'm not sure if getting a QX56 is the right choice or not. Any advice or info on them would be nice. Thanks!

those are the same cars we want to get if we are trading in the '04 Armada, which is at a 70% ish percent...but i don't think so getting a QX56 is a good idea, unless you're gettin a hell of a deal...shown in previous QX56 posts, it's not reallt worth the price...get a 2006 Armada lol

QX is basically the same as a loaded LE Armada, except for upgraded leather, wood dash, HIDs, some extra chrome, a different front end, and smart cruise.
The '04s QX had more sound proofing than the '04 Armada. The '05 Armada added the sound proofing and available backup camera.

Which would I get? Whatever the best deal was. You may get a better deal on a used '05 QX with low miles as some of the depreciation will be out of it.

I doubt you will find to many used M45/35s. I assume you mean the new '06 model as they just changed in '06 to the new body style and thers is no such thing as an "05. It is a totally different beast from the Mada. I own a G35, similar to the M. I use them for totally different reasons. I couldn't recommend one over the other without knowing what you want it for, etc. I'd figure out Sedan vs. SUV, then worry about the cars in that category first. M is a sweet ride though. Other lux sedan would be the new Lexus GS, the new BMW 5 series, and the E class. Good luck.

Well it's obvious I'm going to take a hit, but I only owe another 25K on the Armada. So depending on what I can force them to give me, I'm hoping to put a little on top of that and have a decent down payment for the new car. Plus a MUCH MUCH lower APR. And I've already talked to several Infinity internet managers and I can get a loaded 4x4 QX56 for around 40K with about 9-11K miles on it. There are a few I'm considering, they also have a used 05 they are willing to sell me for around $42K-$45K. But of course they are trying to put me in a brand new 05 with all kinds of rebates and deals because they want to clear them out for the 06's (But I don't want to take another huge ass hit again on a new car).

Basically with my daily driver sold, I only have two loud/ fast....non practical cars left to drive and the Armada. So to change things up I wanted my third car to be a comfortable (semi bling status) luxury car that can also be pretty practical. I ended up getting the Armada, and now realize that maybe it's not as luxurious and semi bling as I wanted (Love the car but expected more I guess). So now I'm either left to get a new M45, used S500, something like that or have my cake and eat it too by getting a more luxurious Armada....hence the QX56. I don't think I'll be happy enough with another newer Armada, because I'm scared I'll end up feeling the same way I do now.

I don't have kids but use the Armada a lot for its space and plan on getting a jet-ski soon too.....so maybe my only option at this point is the QX56. I just hope the QX56 doesn't have any small issues that will piss me off, and if the ECU's are identical then I can just keep using regular or plus gas and not worry about the super cost of supreme.

if you are truly looking a lux suv then it has to be new. used? nah... if you can afford it then get one new, otherwise keep the armada. i see the armada to have both things you want, lux and is practical. compare the armada with the other suv competitors... true right? if you wanted more then get a brand new lux suv. because if i see you on the road and tell me that you got it with 15000 miles on it... ill slap you in the face. if it's lux get new one with 2 miles on it at its max.

Have you considered upgrading your Armada? How about a hot set of wheels/tires, aftermarket grill, dual exhaust and an impressive audio/video system. Bet you could do that for less than flipping vehicles.
At that point your Armada would be unique and styled just the way you want. Not the way someone else thinks it should be.

What's your price range? There are some hot new sedans out for 2006 depending on how much $$$ you want to put out. If I still owed money on my Mada I'd consider trading it in for a Lexus, but since it's paid off I'm really liking having no car payment!!!

If I was in your shoes then HECK NO I wouldn't even concider trading it in for anything. But I still owe about another $25K on the Armada.....so it's either keep it or add another $20K to the amount I owe and get a new/used $45K-$55K dollar car. I'm still debating right now on a QX56 or just keeping my baby!

If I was you - I'd just put some bling into the Mada! There is no way I'd finance $45 to $55 K for a car. A boat maybe, but not a car!

2 race cars and an Armada. Sell a race car. The LX is probably a good straight liner, the GSX a curve eater. Pick one and sell the other for a sedan. I have one of each for me. The holy auto trinity: Full size SUV, Luxury sports sedan, and Convertable sports car.
