05

From what I've read the fuel guage problem is pretty widespread on the 05's.

Keep us informed on how she holds up with regards to squeaks/rattles, etc.

Congrats!

PoohDaddy, PoohDaddy whatcha gonna do when your fuel gauge stops working on you (sung to the theme from cops.[Couldn't resist.])

Another warship for the Armada. Welcome :D

My fuel gauge stayed on full the second day of ownership. Service guy claims the part is on "National Backorder." I think this could become a recall if the ones that show 3/4 full at 30 miles use start to fail.

I haven't had the fuel problem, but I'm in an '04 (don't know if it matters). As for sound upgrades, hopefully you didn't get the Bose package, lol. I made the mistake of wasting $750 on this sub-par POS system. Already blew a speaker, and the system only has 350 watts distributed to "10" speakers. If you didn't get Bose, it will be MUCH easier to replace your speakers. From what I've read in the service manual, if you do have Bose (don't quote me on this), it looks like the Bose amp pulls in audio from the line out on the head unit, so that shouldn't be too hard to replace.

Gas Gauge stuck on FULL

I brought my 2004 Armada in last week for my Gas being always FULL. Only moves when I take the key out. The Nissan service person again acted like this was the first time he's every seen this before. He ordered a sender and gauge cluster without even looking at anything. He obviously has dealt with this already. I was told that there are no replacement parts so I have to wait. Maybe to Jan or Feb 2005. That sucks. If I run out of gas somewhere, I'm going to bill Nissan for towing or whatever.
My Gas gauge has been on FULL for the last 700 miles. Or it's been that way from brand new.

So now I'm waiting for recall on gas gauge, brake rotors, and ???

I got the base stereo, so hopefully I can just replace the door speakers for now .... eventually I will get an amp to run the doors and then another to run a sub. Also, plan on getting an I-pod to hook into the AUX plug.

The fuel thing sucks, but I can live with it for now. Will my low fuel light still work?

What month was your Armada built. I have one dated 05/04 and do not have the the problems usually talked about except for the buffeting. LOL, I just don't roll the windows down on the freeway (got kids watching so it's not really a problem). I am just wondering what month the early problems of the Armada were fixed. I have 2000 miles and do not have problems with the brakes. (KNOCK ON WOOD!!!)

I don't think you have a fuel gauge problem, you just got EXCELLENT fuel mileage. Should read 3/4 tank after about 500 miles!:) Just Kidding!!! I couldn't help resisting saying that. Anyway...Welcome to the Armada club. I own a 04' LE 4x4 and love it. You can see a pic of it in the gallery section. I think I got all the quirks fixed now and have no complaints. I too would like to add a sub in the rear but want it incognito. I stuffed the OEM sub under my seat to pacify my taste and it sounds 10 times better when it's stuffed. I bought a bag of poly-fill at Wally World for $1.57 and let me tell you it's well spent. The bass is tighter. I also added a OEM Sirius tuner and will never go back to FM. Sounds better than CD's IMO. You can do both the above yourself. Theres detailed instructions on the web everywhere I can't remember but if you want to do the above mentioned I can find the instructions for you. Again a BIG WELCOME!!!!

To Debadge or not to debadge?

Ive been thinking about taking off those big V8 emblems that came on my Armada. I really dont feel a need to announce to everyone that I got one. Whats your opinion?

I may replace the SE badge on the back with one of the V8 emblems......
