For whatever reason they say in the owners manual you can select aux on the rear but it's not possible. The aux output doesn't go the rear controls. I suspect late in the final design they had the following question raised "hey what if someone figures out that they can spend $400 for DVD, tap the AUX and have the exact same thing we charge $1600 for????"

look for a rf transmitter headphone set up and plug your dvd into it. I think I've seen them on the net for around $75

You mentioned in your how-to that you could still hook up to the factory dvd input on the radio if you don't have the harness. But which connector is it (M46)? There are no markings on the radio or harnesses to indicate which one I should use. I would really like to get hooked up this way so the kids could use the headphones.

It's the connector on the back of the HU. It should have some empty spaces in it for the DVD input. I haven't pulled it off so I don't know what the pin size or shape is like. Once you do you may find some pins with wires already attached at a computer supply store. If you are still unsure I'll try and find the thread where this was done by another...I think it was on this site.

All Armadas come with IR Transmitter in the rear. Go toCircuit city and Buy the Sony wireless head phones. Turn the rear Control on Hit the Head phone symbol and pressaux in the rear. I found this info on Myron&Davis website for install of their aftermarket DVD Monitor.

Yes and no, they all have the IR transmitter but you can't select the aux to play it through the rear controls while you have another source up front. Almost any IR headphones will work. I have a link to a couple one that I found to be relatively cheap and comfortable for both adults and children. the link to them is at the bottom of my "how to" thread in my signature.

llajumpvid- I have another question. My hu doesn't have a dvd button. If in fact I can get hooked up to the input on the hu, how do I select the dvd?

Hold the Rear AR button down for 1.5 seconds. It should come up and say NO DVD. If you get it hooked up like mine your steering wheel controls will toggle through fm, am, cd, and DVD.

:rrg: :goodjob: Obviously your soldiering skills are better than mine. I bought one of those coldheat irons and haven't been able to do a single solder joint yet with the piece of crap. I don't know if I'd mentioned before but the computer stores have power connectors etc with pins on them, I think they maybe too large but someone else used a computer ribbon and stripped the pins out of there.
