again at the '05 LE Armada. What kind of questions do we need to ask in regards to the brakes, a/c, etc. How will we know the fixes have been done?

Not buying today, but definetly soon.
Thanks!

The old brake dust test is the best in my opinion. If the vehicle has been driven for any length of time and has the old parts you'll have obvious brake dust on the wheels.

Other than that, I would just listen for rattles and drive the vehicle for a good hour at least on all kinds of terrain. Find the bumpiest roads you can. :D Most test drives they want you to just spin around the block which isn't good enough in my experience. You might even have them let you take it for the day if they know you're serious.

Look in the drivers side door sticker to see when the truck came off the assembly line. I believe anything after May 2004 should have the upgraded rotors and brake kit.

We love our 05,so enjoy!

Just to verify, that does not mean purchasing your vehicle after May, it means that the actual production date was May of later. If you bought your truck in May, it probably was produced before May.

Of course that doesn't mean you will experience an ounce of problems, so I don't want anyone to think that's what I mean, just stating that the Brake fix kit's were applied to the may and post may vehicles coming off the production line.

We went by the dealership. They sold the Smoke '05! Bummer. No '06s on the lot. I guess its going to be a hurry up and wait. :(
New or used?
New, the only thing to ask is if they have done the TSB on the brakes. Don't take delivery without it. Won't cost the dealer a dime as they can write it off under the warranty.
As for it being gone, use the Nissan site to search around for the one you want. They are out there. Your dealer can get it delivered or you can go to the dealer where you find it. Last, get a price from www.new-nissans.com and use that to bargain with. You can always use them to buy the thing and pick it up at your local dealer. Harder to get the brakes done ahead of time that way though. ;)
