Today when I was driving The temp guage said it was 106 But It was not correct. And when I started to drive the temp started to go up to about 111 and toped out. Then after about ten minutes of driving it went back down to 108. Today the highest it has been is about 98. Is it messed up or is the housing for the temp guage just hot? My 97 Montero has never had this problem and I was wondering if I should take the mada in and have it looked at? Has anybody else experienced this problem? Any help is appreciated.
