Took vehicle 2011 QX56 to dealer for check engine lite. They found codes P0106 P0181 P0183. I was told that P0106 was for reprogramming and that it would take care of the codes/lite. Of course they lied and on the way home from the dealer the lite came back on. I took it right back and at first they said they didn’t know what was wrong. Next day they said they thought it was the fuel sensor. Didn’t replace it just replugged? The lite came back on while they had it so they had to keep it. After 4 days they call and said both CATs need to be replaced. Now the codes are P0181 P0183 P0420 P0430. I have read that you should clear all codes before replacing the CATs. Does anyone know what will clear P0181 P0183? I’ve read that it is for the Fuel Temperature Sensor. What is it’s location? Can I change or myself? Sorry this is so long but it has been a long week!

I bet it has been a long week! Has the Timing Chain been replaced on Recall? The Dealer can tell you with the VIN. If so you can try to clean the CATs with Dura-lube or Cataclean. You can also add Anti-fouling spacers to chill the hyper O2 sensors as well, or get new CATs aftermarket.
However,You have 3 problems it seems, based on the codes. Hopefully a Pro-Wrench can point you in the right path.

The fuel temp sensor/sending unit is part of the in-tank fuel pump assembly. The access cover for the fuel pump assembly, vent line and harness is located beneath the carpet, driver side-second row seat.
