I finally did it. I got me an enclosed trailer for the toy. It's a 24' Halumark Thrifty with some upgrades.

I do have 1 question. When I went to setup the Prodigy controller, it said to drive up to 25mph and apply the brakes manually. If the brakes didn't lock gradually increase the power. I increased to 9.5 and still couldn't lock the brakes. The trailer stops very well as far as I can tell. You can definately feel them apply on moderate to hard stops. What did I do wrong in the setup?

I don't think you did anything wrong. Some trailer brakes won't lock up. You need to pull the loaded for a while to get the brakes set just right, getting a good balance of braking between the trailer and the truck.

Ditto. When I installed the Prodigy and set it up for my 24 ft. equipment trailer, I could not get the trailer brakes to lock up even with the manual control all the way to the right. But the braking was and is solid and well-balanced.

Not to worry if they don't lock during setup as long as they pull down evenly with your truck, when you brake.
