Question, has anyone had 1 of the 2 power outlets just break on them and the parts come out? Mine did and it is in the shop getting a recall part done and they called and said they could fix it but had to order parts in for it. Well I totally forgot about it, its been broke since last fall's hunting season. But they said it would be $92 installed with parts & labor! I said hold off for now. Am I wrong to assume i can go get a part for $6 bucks and screw the old broken one out and unplug the broken one and re-install the new one?? I don't have my mada here to go look and won't till tomorrow, but just looking for an answer if anyone knows!
Thanks guys,
Steve

What broke? I've seen a TSB for switches pushing through the dash. Is this what happened?

power outlet

No, what actually happened was I was taking the plug out of there from my GPS unit and the fuse came out and a ring of some sort, the GPS plug broke as well, so both the male end of the GSP and the female end of the outlet were broke. So I heard that a guy on another vehicle, cavalier just unscrewed his, popped it off the plug, replugged in the new one and screw it back in. So I was wondering if it was that easy but I am thinking my luck isn't that good. I just wish I had my truck to go look.

It shouldn't be any big deal to just replace the cigarette lighter repectacle which I think is the part we are talking about. An autoparts store will have the part.
