Hello,

I'm fixing to buy an 04 Armada 4x4 SE-Off Road w/ sunroof and big tow. A dealer (in Northern VA) has given me an "internet price" and was wondering if others have been able to negotiate from that "internet price" (with $2000 rebate from Nissan) they give? Is it totally off base to try to get another $1000-$1500 off the price they quote you?

Also, this particular Armada was built in Jan. 04, was a dealer transfer and has been on their lot since late Sept. The center console is hanging, has some scratches on interior pieces and on the exterior door and has 300+ on the odometer. The salesperson reassured me they would be corrected when we buy. For the shape it is in, should I be able to get a better deal?

Thanks...

Would be easier to comment if we knew what the bottom line price was that they're asking -- but yes, you should be able to get a serious deal on this truck based on what you've told us. That dealer has no chance of moving that Armada without significantly reducing the price -- if he won't -- I would move on, or get an '05.

I agree with Eightman. It sounds like it's a few years old. Nobody should pay for a new vehicle and receive it in such a condition, especially concidering how cheap used ones are (a fully decked out used LE is selling in my town for around $28,000... damn I wish I woulda waited).

The guy is trying to sell it at $35844 + fees. I was thinking around $32500 w/ 7/100 extension on the warranty. Does that offer sound ridiculous  ?

Thanks again.

I got mine for $36,200.01 (yes, one penny. The poor sales lady tried for 30 minutes to remove that penny. Eventually, she taped a penny to my check, lmao), SE, Bose, Tow, and 7 yr/75,000 mile warranty, including TT&L. Hope this helps, I don't want to give an opinion because I don't know what a good deal is, really. Hasn't the price dropped on the Armadas? They seemed a bit cheaper at my dealer last time I went in for an oil change.

A dealership in Houston is advertising $7500 off 04's. Don't know what trim levels they have. I got mine $6000 below msrp 6 months ago. (actually $3000 plus they gave retail for my trade which was $3000 over trade value)

I would be leary of a Jan 04' build that is still on the lot. They didn't start getting some of their fixes into the assembly line until May.

Talked with a dealer about used '04s. They are able to purchase SE's for $29k at auction, very few LE's but those are around $32k.

$35k is steep for an SE. Kelley blue book doesn't list the '04 ARmada in their used car pricing. Found one other guide that put an 04 LE at around $37k.

Saw an LE one up in my neck of the woods (Seattle) on cars.com for about the same.

I just picked up an 04' SE with Big tow, for $29,500. Check out carsdirect.com. They can get any thing that matches your criteria, and deleiver it to you local dealer. Takes out the middle man. i was able to tell my dealer the price, and they were able to match it. Don't pay any more then $30K for it, or you might regret it after looking around.

i was offered 44250 for a fully loaded LE 4wd. Do you guys think i can do better?

$7500 off '04 is pretty nice but i am a bit weary of the problems with the brakes and the creaking gremlins

DO NOT use your primary email address with carsdirect .com as they sell it to spammers. I know from experience! Since I got a quote from them I have been swamped with spam and if you look under the hood at the message source they all have something to do carsdirect. By the way I beat their quote by $700 back in April.

Take my advice and get a used one!! I should have waited. For 1K more than I spent on mine, there's an LE in town with EVERY SINGLE OPTION. It's a nice feeling to drive a new vehicle and all, but I' d trade it all for a topped out Armada for the same price.

Well, I got a Galaxy 4x4 SE Off-Road with the sunroof pkg, big tow, filter, floor/cargo mats, rear mud guards and 3 years of oil changes for $35300 after rebate. This was not the same one I was intially working on and doesn't have the problems the first one had :D .

I feel pretty good about the price; it was $700+ below invoice. The dealer said they were making no money on it and I was tapping into his holdback: yeah right!

I did look around for used Armadas and found an LE with everything and 11k miles for $37888. But I've never had a good experience with used cars and for that much, I rather go with a new vehicle.

I have only a couple of problems with it though :

1. I can't seem to get my wife to let me drive it.
2. And when I do get the chance, I can't seem to keep my foot from flooring it.

Thanks for the help! :D
