Love that set up man do you have more pics of the audio? Did they try line filters or a diffrent ground. I'll assume its a good shop but I'm suprised they couldn't isolate this common issue.

I am with Casinojames. It sounds to me like you have a bad ground some where. More than likely it is going to be the head unit itself. Why? Because you really don't have a solid ground behind the dashboard. Try to ground the metal frame of the unit. Don't just ground the negative (Black) wire of the unit. Also make sure that you have quality audio cables. Alot of times installation shops include installations with a purchase of a head unit but the use low quality material.

Think its time for a new shop bro, none of that make sense. I had an older Eclipse deck in my Honda and two different kinds of amps and never had a problem. That system was pro installed but when I did my own installs on other systems I like to use the bolts for the seats or seat belt anchors that go right to the frame or unibody for a ground. Good luck and let me see a pic of your sub box if you don't mind!!

Sounds like bad grounding. This is almost always the culprit. The speaker cables and RCAs should be run on the opposite side of the power cables. If everything is grounded well, try a grounding kit.

Did you use an after mkt wire harness kit. When I put mine in I also bought the wire harness kit that allows me to plug straight into the mfk harness. If your HU has a Right and Left output plus sub output then there should be no engine noise.

Good Luck Post pics when you get a chance.
