Rear Cargo Cover

I bought a 2010 Armada Platinum a week ago. Great car but there's one thing that's confusing me. The rear cargo cover has a couple of retracting legs. As the legs are not even, I haven't figured out what the heck they're for. Can I get some ideas? Thanks.

can you post a photo of what you are talking about? does it look like its an official nissan 1st party accessory?
