Hey

I have an 04 LE (no nav/no dvd) I do the the rear audio control panel and the flip down that is just a storage compartment. Can i get one of those-all in one units (dvd/screen) and put it up there? Is there a way to take the plastic headliner unit apart and put an all in one unit up there??

I am currently installing a 10.2" wide screen over the current place where the stock screen goes. You are just going to have to do it that way unless you want to purchase the Myron & Davis 9" or 7", those fit in the stock screen compartment. I went after market because I could get a bigger screen for the price with better resolution. No way to take off the current plastic unit, it is all one piece.


By the way, I see you have intergrated your iPod, can I ask how you did that? Thanks.

Thanks, send me a pic of your screen set up..all i did with my ipod (until i can get the Clarion NICE) is to get the charger cradle from www.proclipusa.com and use a standard pin to pin cable from the earphone jack into the AUX in the dash...

I am installing it this Saturday coming up, but I am installing a DVD player in the center console and the monitor on the roof, where the stock one goes. I will post pics when I am done. I thought you might be controlling the ipod thru the stereo buttons. I am just using the aux. right now.

Only widescreen monitor I could find in that size that will actually display the full DVD resolution.

Blaupunkt ME3 is a good choice, top notch built in tv tuner. I get very clear reception with it even while driving.

You would need a video/audio ampliflier, or a AV switchbox.

No it will not, but I had to go with another screen because they did not have the Absolute in stock. Also the one I have replaced it with is brighter and swivels, it is also a smaller form factor. I am giving up some resolution, but on a screen this small, I don't think the kids will be able to tell.

You can try it first without a video amp. I did a test one time and ran a RCA splitter to my rear screen and to a 7" screen (not install) and they both got clear video signal. Any more than two screen than you might for sure need a video amp. Another thing you can do is see if your other screen have a video output, you can hook that output to the NICE.
