Look in your owners manual in the "Maintenance and do-it yourself" section. It is near the back of the book, section 8, I think. There are instructions and a drawing there to change the blades.

Do anyone else's wipers go down for a split second when you first turn them on, then go back up for the full stroke? If it matters this is an 06 QX56.

Mine wipers ride high on the windshield, and drive me a bit nuts. I was going to adjust them per the service manual (thanks SCR38), when I noticed there is a clean worn spot on the windshield where my wipers are wiping BELOW their resting/off postion. That clean worn spot is located much closer to what L1 and L2 should be.

My 24" driver side wiper is currently running over the trim at the top edge of the windshield, but I wasn't sure if this adjustment would resolve that or not (depends on the new upper limit position).

L1 (driver side) clearance per service manual: 1.6"-2.2"
My L1 (driver side) clearance in the off position: 6.5"
My L1 (driver side) minimum clearance when wipers go down before back up: 2.7"

L2 (passenger side) clearance per service manual: 2.0"-2.6"
My L2 (passenger side) clearance in the off position: 3.5"
My L2 (passenger side) minimum clearance when wipers go down before back up: 1.5"

This happened on my wife's Maxima after we replaced the wiper motor. Due to the odd placement of the motor, it was hard to get everything lined up just right, so it stops the blade right before it finishes the stroke and then actually finishes going down once the wipers are turned back on.

My guess is the wiper motor was replaced and when it was installed, it wasn't aligned properly. I have no idea how easy it is to align in the Armada, but after about 30 minutes of fiddling with it on my wife's car, me and my dad gave up and said it was "good enough".
