Hello all just wanted to tell everybody that my armada may be going to the big junkyard up in the sky....Not completely sure if it's a complete loss yet..Waiting for adjuster to estimate the damage. I was driving home from a friends house early sat. morning when i swerved to avoid a deer and ended up going into the woods. Struck a tree head on!!!!! I owe my life to my armada since it was built like a tank. I walked away but not so sure about the truck...I will keep u all posted.

I feell your pain.

I feel for ya'. I crashed my 'Mada about 5 weeks ago, and it's still in the shop.

Great to know that the Armada protected you and you walked away unhurt! Speaks to the safety of the vehicle.

Man glad your ok. I have seen several posts this week between here and ClubTitan.org that really show you how tuff these vehicles are. Makes me feel safer about my truck whenever I see someone walk away from a bad wreck with minimal or no injuries to themselves.
Hope you get rolling in a new Armada very soon.

Glad you are ok...were your kids with you? That's scary. I can't see how the insurance would deem it safe after a wreck like that and go ahead and fix it. I would think the chassis would be twisted a bit.

Your Armada can be replaced, but neither you or the deer are expendable. Glad that you AND the deer are ok. You did good by saving two lives! :goodjob:
I would have hit the deer. I never swerve for animals unless I am sure I wont hit anything else. Deer are very expendable, they are way overpopulated. I have seen many people roll-over because of swerving for a deer and subsequently killing themselves or their passengers. I'll take my chances with a 150lb deer anyday.

I am not saying to the original poster that he did wrong, because I wasn't there and couldn't possibly guess the circumstances. I am saying, though, f*** the deer.

The most important fact is that you saved YOUR life and anyone riding with you. Glad you are ok.

Yup. Me too. The county where my parents live, they take out about 3,000 - 5,000 deer every deer season. Not sure what the number is for bow-hunting season. If they stopped, they'd very soon be overrun & nobody'd be able to keep any flowers around their house. Granted, hitting a 150 pound deer can do some damage, but not nearly as much as a tree, another vehicle, or rolling over from trying to turn too fast.

Again, very glad to hear you walked away ok - your Armada protected you. I'm hoping to get my crashed 'Mada back this afternoon. My damage was not quite as extensive as yours, and it's taken 5 weeks and $14,000 to fix.

Unless you're in that situation, you can't know exactly what happened. I'm sure he didn't aim for the tree to miss the deer! Faced with something like that in the road, I can't imagine how you couldn't avoid swerving, it's a natural reaction to try to miss it. Then, you're left with trying to miss something else!

I'm glad you are okay, that was hard hit.

I've had my 2005 Rosie for over 2 months now and I love it.
A month ago two teenagers fell from I-70 at the Eisenhower tunnel, coming back from skiing I assume, they both survived a fall of 300 meters. I believe that driving a Titan really play a role on that. I'm am glad that these cars are built to protect us.

I hate insurance companies......they are not sure if the armada is totaled yet...they want the body shop to start ripping it apart to see the extent of the damage underneath....will keep u all posted..
Don't take no for an answer, even if you have to hire an attorney, heck, demand a new one, or a compensation for a new one. it looks like its a total loss, and it will never be the same as it was before.

Glad to hear you walked away. Please keep us posted because I'm intrested in some parts if they total it out. Someone in my family somehow kicked the speaker panel in the rear passenger door and cracked it. Called dealer and $500 for the WHOLE door panel is not what I want to pay. Please email me if your intrested in parting with some of the small stuff. The yard that is holding most likely won't mind you going in to take out WHAT YOU NEED!

Apologies to playing a Vulture but I have not found any places that have wrecked Mada's yet.

Thanks
K
