I am new, and am happy I found teh Armada forum.
I have been looking throught the threads about the satellite.

I have a 05 LE fully loaded inus the DVD (I have the technology package). The dealer did not have the satellite available ($400), and I want to get the Sirius subsciption. However, I do not want the external pod in my Armada. Can the dealer install Sirius so it works with my factory Bose system? If so, any ideas on costs?

Current mods: bug shield, sunroof wind deflector, stainless bull bar, rain guards, billet grills

The $400 is for the the integrated satelite radio that would work through your Bose head unit.

My Mada has the dealer installed Sirius Satellite. After replacing the receiver, it now works. It seems to be working just fine, at first reception was in and out. Seem to have varrying locations for the antenna. Mine is mounted inside next to the rearview mirror.

Crushin - it looks to me that you are in Florida as well as I am. I am in South Florida and have the factory installed Sirius radio. I am not happy with reception as there are streets where I get very poor reception. Are you in South Florida too? Do you have frequent drops in the same place? Do you have the SIGMA antenna (the one that looks like a trapezoid)? I am wondering if I should get a new external antenna and ditch the interior mounted antenna.

I'm in Orlando, and I do (I believe) have the Sigma antenna. Looks like something from a space ship mounted to the inside of my windshield. My reception is fine about 99% of the time. Really very little problems, since the first day. However I'd think that a good externally mounted antenna couldn't hurt. I was actually considering this too.
