I had a Viper remote start install on my 04 Armada and now a flashing icon of a car with a key on my dash display is flashing and the red light on top of the dash don't light up what is the meaning of the flashing icon and how is it suppose to work,the installer is giving me grief

That icon is the Security Indicator Light (NVIS). This light blinks whenever the ignition switch is in the LOCK, OFF, or ACC position. This function indicates the Nissan security system equipped on the vehicle is operational.
This info is in your Owner's Manual, usually section 2.
