Does your guy's motors have a real slight ticky sound like a sewing machine during idle. I noticed it when i was filling it up last night, it was cold out but the motor was warm, it doesnt sound bad it just sounds like ticky valves, but the motor is running fine, well it is basically new....i wonder if i am just being parinoid!

At least it doesn't sound like a chain saw or model airplane like so many Civics do with those fart pipes. ;)

if you open your gas cap while engine is running your engine light will light up. cuz it happen on my 96 altima.

unless you want to be a ticking time bomb i wouldn't suggest filling up gas while the engine is running..
I do this almost every time. Usually, I bark at the attendent if they try to correct me. The light turns on because periodically, the car runs a pressure diagnostic on the system to check for leaks. If the cap isn't on when it runs the diagnostic, it sends the warning. This will last for a hundred miles or so. Happened on my Infiniti once. As for Time bomb, get real. Only danger would be if you sprayed gas all over the place instead of in the tank. You pull up to a gas station, start up at a gas station. The fumes are no different then than when you are filling. The turn off rule is for grannies who do dumb things like the one who sprayed 120 gallons over her car claiming she was washing it.
