I have 1100 miles on the truck. It is a 05 SE Off Road with the Auto option on the transfer case. Here is what I am experiencing. I will bring the truck up to speed, say 35-40 and totally lay off the gas for a second and then quickly accelerate again. The truck will make a clunk (feels like it may be in the rear-end) as it applies power to the driveline. This can be somewhat normal for a car or truck with miles on it but being this new I would hope it would be tighter. Those who had new differentials installed, what is the symptom you experienced.

Thanks
I have the same issue that the original post mentions and am looking to determine if this is really normal operation or an issue. 2011 Armada Platinum with 87,000 miles.

Just as the OP says,

"I will bring the truck up to speed, say 35-40 and totally lay off the gas for a second and then quickly accelerate again. The truck will make a clunk (feels like it may be in the rear-end) as it applies power to the driveline."

I've seen multiple posts on this issue but none that really close the loop and define the cause. I'm thinking universal joint, rear diff, transmission mount, transmission and/or transfer case. Seems to be easier to make it happen after the vehicle warms up.

Got under the beast today to check driveline components. Everything feels tight. Any additional insight would be appreciated.

I crawled under the beast and checked the driveline. As far as checking by hand everything feels tight. BTW, the driveshaft on this beast is huge.

Any other thoughts would be appreciated.
