I had an idea of what each wire is for so I just bit the bullet and spliced into the wires. Everything worked out fine. The subs are in and are a great upgrade from the Bose "sub-woofer".

Thick Red - power
Thick Black - ground
Thin White - speaker +
Thin Black - speaker -
White/Green - remote

I just removed the complete box and unclipped the wiring. I tapped into the existing wiring to leave the clip in the car just incase I have to put the Bose sub back in. I tapped a Line Out Converter for the RCA signal. I ran power to the battery and a remote. I just did a quick job so I have to go back and clean up the work a little. It sounds great and is a world of difference. I have a punch amp with 2 10" JL W3's. Now, as I thought, the stock Bose speakers are not enough for the bass. I will probably add another amp and replace all speakers for some good components.

I love my truck more and more everyday! I bought this car in an effort to get away from modifying my car to save money or spend less money (depending on which way you look at it), but I guess that it didn't work. Now, I am modifying a car in which I still have a monthly payment. Ironically, I am spending more money now than before! LOL!

I want to add aftermarket speakers as well, but I'm wondering how the whole voice guided Navigation is going to be affected. Does the voice only come through the center channel speaker? I would hate to re-wire everything...only to find out it didnt work....

I don't have Nav so I am not sure. But I think I read on a post that the center speaker is the only speaker that the Nav uses. I don't see why you can't upgrade you speakers and just not route any stereo signal to that speaker. Just make sure that the signal from the nav still goes to it. If you upgrade speakers, I doubt that you will still need that center speaker for music.
