Hope you like it!

My daughter came home over the weekend and I let her borrow it without telling her I changed anything. She took my 9 year old on a errand. Nothing gets by my 9 year old. He said his sister kept turning off the inside of the road nearly bumping the curbs. The truck turns much quicker, flatter way less drama so it may take a little time to re-adjust and be a little less hamfisted. That's a good problem in my book.

When you go up against other SUVs where you have to change direction after this mod it is like taking candy from a baby.

Enjoy!

Ben, I am with you. I prefer just replacing it for $180 then drilling holes into the OEM hollow tube.

Now your talking!
Stillen Swaybar! adding that to my must have list.

No disrespect to the original poster, but that drilling and foam idea is not my style. Allthough, it would be interesting to see how it holds up for 100,000 miles. (my guess is it would slowly go back to stock after the foam gets chewed up from use)

Stillen sells the sway bar right from there site for less and free shipping.

Any other mods that one should do for suspension and ride along with this from OEM? I know the Blisten HDs.

Speaking of Wheel Alignments, I've read on this Forum that not all places know how to properly align the Armada/QX. Can this only be done at the Dealership then?

So I tired out this mod. I did notice an improvement in handling, but not so drastic that I would ever clip a curb. My results may be different since I am running Bilstein HD shocks. I drilled a hole large enough for the foam tube to fit snug, then drilled a smaller vent tube on the opposite site. I used 3/4 of the can because I wanted to ensure that the sway bar was filled as much as possible. I then taped the holes with heat shrink tape to prevent the foam from leaking out, and let the truck sit for 4 days. I did have some foam leak out, but the heat tape kept most of it in.

I do plan on upgrading to the Stillen sway bar this spring.

You should not need an alignment after the sway bar is installed. KMD, let me know what you think of the Stillen sway bar.

Thinking about upgrading my 2008 LE Found this lower price at MyNismo.com
Stillen web site says the sway bar fits 2004-2011 models

Sounds like only one of you actually tried it! I never said it is a stiff as a Stillen. I said it is a cheap quick mod that will stiffen up the front end! $6.00 and 15 minutes vs $164.00 and maybe an hour or two. Lets keep the perspective here. Also doing this in no way stops you from going with a Stillen later if you want to take the stiffness up a notch.

However, I don't think you really want to stiffen the front up 40+%. These trucks tend to understeer already. Stiffening up the front a lot will tend to make that worse unless you do the same to the rear. Does Stillen make a rear bar too? maybe for $164.00 if I am reading that right above? The rear one is the one you want to do first given the choice. . . looks like they only have the front. At least go with Urethane bushings in the rear like I did to get the full benefit of either mod.
