Stillin Big brake kit

One of the Titan guys has one. He got it before they fixed the brakes. If you have the new rotors and pads, there is really no reason except looks for it. The new brakes are more than enough. The big brake kits are mostly for people racing who are braking hard hundreds of times in a short period of time. This will create brake fade. The big brakes kill the fade but won't for example make you brake twice as fast. Also, they are drilled rotors. Drilled rotors crack and not one single maker will warranty them including BAER and Stillen. So if you aren't buying them for looks, skip them.Vegeta said:

Yea ! They will look sweet for sure ! But I'm looking for more stopping power really. Kinda don't feel like the Mada stops as good as it could . I'm gonna let Nissan replace the factory crap first then install some ceramic pads and see if I feel better about the stopping power then. Before I drop the $1,400 on the Big kit . One more thing ! How come they only make ceramic pads for the front ? I don't know about you but I'd like to have them all the way around .

Because the front is responsible for 80% of the braking so the rear don't dust like the front. Try the factory stuff. If you still want more braking power, the big brake will give you some, but I don't think you'll find it necessary and $1400 buys a lot of other goodies.Vegeta said:

brake fix vs stillen
I was in the same boat. I bought an 04 with the intent of adding the stillen big brake kit. 04 brakes leave alot to be desired in power and then in about 2500 miles I got judder which is much earlier than most people get it. I was tired of people cutting me off left and right because I was leaving so much room to stop. It just doenst work in Los Angeles. You end up panic stopping all the time even though you are trying to drive responsibly. I got the brake fix from Nissan and it is definately good enough. Power is about 10-15% better which is about what I was after from the stillen kit. Now I can follow at a distance comprable to everyone else and there is never any close call. It makes it much more relaxing to drive this car.
I went in planning to do it before I bought it and now big brakes are the last thing on my mind.
