Sorry guys may be stupid question but I connect FES enable and Audio on but I still can't get dvd choice on a headunit when I'm choosing from a stiring vheile. What I'm doing wrong???? Any input please.

You sure they are the right wires? Before I even hook up any other wires I did the FES first and it showed DVD on the HU.

If I install an aftermarket DVD player and screen, is there a way to make the remote control work through the factory rooftop ir eye or do I have to install another remote ir eye?

If you hook it up to the factory harness the IR still work, it also let you hear one source over the cabin speakers and another source on the wireless headphones. (ie, cd while headphones listen to radio) you cannot listen to two different radio station however. If the aftermarket screen come with its own IR it must be disable or you'll get interference.

Whatabout control of the DVD player. Can the DVD remote control be used through the rooftop ir eye?

Depends on your set up. On mine I can, even though the dvd player is in the center console I have 2 IR port, one goes straight to the overhead screen and one goes to the front of the truck.

If you're talking about the drop down bin than no, it does not lock in place.
