I did this mod to my 98 Nissan Maxima nd have been wanting to checkout if it can be done with my Armada. After a few checks of the door pillar...I've decided what da heck..I'll go ahead and take the chance. I can always get those chrome door pillar covers if I'm wrong. Take a look guys and let me know what you think!!! It's a free mod..what else can I say!!!!

I was going to take a few pics but a few friends came over while I was doing it and the Armada was blocked in the garage. By the time they left it was too dark to get any decent pics. I'll try tomorrow!!!
That is nice I might have to give it a look this weekend
It works well with your grill and color. that's sik dude.

Here's a few pics but since my car is pretty much a dark color , you can't see much difference.

Very nice, some Titan folks try to peel that black tape off only to find the paint underneath have been scruff up. I guess it's for the tape to stick better or something. Very tempting to go and try with my Titan.
Door Pillar tape

Your looks very good without the tape. However I don't know if the lighter colors would look as good. I've got Red Braun and I think I'd rather go with the carbon fiber pillars instead. I like the whole dark tinted window continuity thing with the lighter colors. I'd have to see it first on my color.
I took one off, good news for me the paint is not scruff up but there's alot of glue, what did you use to clean the glue off if you had any?

I'll post some pictures as soon as I get the other three off. I'm trying to figure out how to get the glue off first. I'll try some Goo B Gone as suggested by m4ck on CT.
Good luck baseballfanz, I hope you get the glue off without marring the paint. If I had known about this before, I would have tried it before kicking out the $$$$ for the Chrome Pillars. I just did not like the dull finish.
I think Goo Gone is the product to remove the glue without damaging the paint. Or you can use silicone spray. But you better wax it afterward!

I usually use denatured alcohol to remove the sticky residue but mines came out fine and I just went with a polish.
Not good, got all the glue off to find that the surface are scruff up. Look like they ran sand paper up and down the pillars a couple of times. Stainless pillars will be order shortly.

How bad is it? Can you post some pics? If it's only the clear, you can try the 3M rubbing compound a few times them finish it up with a polish.
So is there stock paint under the pillar? Is that what you guys are taking off?
