Spent the day cleaning and polishing the mada and here are a few things I discovered

1-There is only one key lock. I was going to roll up the windows with the key from the passenger side and noticed hey there no place to stick the key....only took 10 months to notice.

2-I unhooked my battery for the night (testing to see if reseting the ecm will boost the mileage) and then I went around and locked all the doors by hand. The rear hatch wouldn't open but the glass did and there is no way to lock it. So if your battery goes dead when the doors are unlocked you won't be able to lock the glass.

3-There's not a transmission dip stick? What looks like a dip stick requires removing a bolt so I didn't pull the cap to see if there is a stick.

1 - Isn't that wierd. I think my friend's 350Z is like that also.

2 - That's not good. Hopefully, we will never get stuck in that situation.

3 - The salesman pointed that out when I bought the car. The idiot couldn't give me a reason why it was like that. LOL! I guess that's why he's only a salesman. My dealer really sucked, but I am impressed with the "new" Nissan line and they gave me a price I couldn't turn down. Three months later, I think I wouldn't have paid a little more for better service. Oh well, you live and learn.

did it work? i was always told to do this after each MOD. thus far, i've gotten volant CAI w/air scoop with a wide open magnaflow muffler. wondering if the cpu is smart enough to "learn" the added MOD's or if i should unhook the battery overnight?!

ecu should learn after 50 or so starts, dis-connect is usually overnight

I'll let you know in a month. I only have 6 miles since resetting it. I'll average a few tanks and report back. Right now I get between 11 and 11.5 in town, highway is about 13-13.5.

There is a transmission dip stick. Remove the bolt, then the dipstick. Wipe the oil from the stick and reinsert it into the transmission with the bolt tab on the opposite side from the way it is bolted in. Then remove the stick and read the level. The reading won't be correct unless you turn the stick 180 degrees (with the tab on the other side of the bolt hole) before you check the level. Check with the transmission warm and the engine running, in Park or Neutral. Be sure to rotate the stick back to the original position and replace the bolt when you are finished.

See post below. What's up with the bolt?

I had to go run and to my truck and check it myself! I've had her since July and never noticed there was no keyhole on the passenger side! So much for having an eye for detail! Thanks for the laugh! :D

Glad to hear there is a dipstick, my Trooper doesn't have one and draining/filling the ATF is a PITA. When I get my armada after 5k miles Redline Hightemp ATF will be going into there.

Maybe you should read this from the Armada Service Manual before changing to the Redline (or any other fluid)

No keyhole on the rear hatch, either.

I have a new one..

I was putting in my reverse camera and was looking at the service manual to find the reverse signal at the nav unit....well while I was reading through I discovered that the avg MPG shown on the NAV is only a running 30minute average and not an overall average. That would explain why my mileage is typically 1 to 1.5mpg less than what the nav is telling me.
