The contis are rated to 112mph. This may be why Nissan set the speed limiter for 112.
I have no idea why both would blow at once. Never heard of this. The tires are crappy though but seem to be safe. This is the first post with a Flat I've heard. I'd guess they did something wrong like driving the wrong way over spikes, inflating vastly wrong, or vandalism.
