Question for those of you knowledgeable about tire wear:
I've noticed that my crappy Goodyear Eagles have cupped pretty badly. What I mean by that is that they are worn down in the centers but the inside and outsides of the tread isn't as worn. When looking at the tire while kneeling down it is obvious that the center of the tires are worn down and the tires are "cupped".
I will post some pics tomorrow to better explain, but I'm curious if anyone else is noticing weird tire wear like this, and also what can typically cause this? I've read that weak shocks, camber, and improper inflation can cause it, but I run 37-38lbs. and check my pressure pretty often as I tow a good bit. These tires haven't been right since they were new- I've had shimmy off an on regardless of how many road-force and tire match balances get done. I've had Discount Tire and several other places check the alignment, balance, and road-force but the shimmy always comes back. I've even taken the Armada to Goodyear and they (of course) said the tires balanced in spec and would not replace them under warranty. I've pretty much decided on the terra grapplers as their replacements, but it will be a while.
