Does anyone know where i can get the relays for the tow harness online, my truck did not come with the tow package and i put a non nissan hitch on it and now i need the relays cause the harness has no power coming too it. Do you have the part number and where i can get them online. Also is there anything else i need besides the two relays. I bought the adapter for the harness to trailer already and then i found out that i needed the relays.

thanks,

JAson

i was hoping on not going to the stealership, last time i was there they told me they didnt sell the hitch for it?!?!?! duh... :duh:
I bought the hitch from the dealer few months ago and it comes with the relays and the connector, the instruction doesn't show the part number for the relays, but it describes them as: relay ( trailer tow #1) and relay ( trailer tow #2), the entire hitch part number is 999T7-2Q200.
I hope this help ;)

ramsey, I am in the same boat as you with apparently the only other 'Mada with an aftermarket hitch. I only plan to tow light (less than 1500lb) loads, do I need the relays for both lights and brakes or just the one for the lights. It's just a Harbor Freight 4x8 utility trailer with 4 pin connector, Thanks

One relay (the smaller one, relay 1) controls the running lights. The other, relay 2, is for 12 volt power to the trailer, not the brakes. If you aren't going to be pulling a travel trailer that needs 12 v power you don't need the second relay. See attachment:

No Running Lights on my utility Trailer

I have the factory installed tow package with the hitch & 7 slot harness, but my utility tralier (4pin) does not have running lights. Brake lights & turn signals all light up, but no running lights. I am doing this with an adapter obviously. So what you are saying is that the smaller "relay 1" probably needs to be replaced?
