Re Madas being recalled to replace towing wire harness. Reportedly due to fire potential if "trailer has defective wiring." Has anyone actually had a problem with this?

No problem

Have not had any trouble and we use the Armada on the average about 1-2 times a week to tow either our utility trailer or toybox.
Read it again.

No not actually, you misread the TSB. Here it is again

http://www.nissanhelp.com/Ownership/Bulletins/Nissan/2005/NTB05-086.htm

It states that this is a protective circuitry upgrade (a safety enhancement), not a recall for defective equipment. It will basically keep faulty trailer wiring from burning up your electrical system.
try try again...have you ever even heard of this happening?
Do research

The TSB only applies to a certain series of VINs and you can check if you have the problem with a volt meter or 12v teat light.

If I recall you are looking for hot turn signal terminals with the ignition on but them off.

My VIN is out of range and the terminals are cold.
